About UN Women Watch
UN Women Watch, an inter-agency standing committee of the United Nations Inter-agency Network on Women and Gender Equality (IANWGE), is a unique and comprehensive web-based gateway to information on the United Nations system-wide work on gender equality and the empowerment of women.
The portal contains a directory of resources, which provides access to specific information on selected topics - including the critical areas of concern of the Beijing Platform for Action, related policy outcomes, statistics and indicators, publications and tools on gender equality and gender mainstreaming, and a series of thematic sub-portals dedicated to specific issues that are currently on the UN global agenda, such as climate change; urbanization; women, peace and security, etc.
In addition, UN Women Watch features UNGENews, a real-time newsfeed aggregator of all United Nations news on gender equality and the empowerment of women.
