Natural methods

Scientific methods

I.Pre-implantation methods

1. Sperm sorting It is is a technique for separating the two types of semen found in sperm, X sperm and Y sperm

Theory and Process

[2]

2 .Preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) The only 100% accurate method for baby gender selection

Theory and Process

[3]

3 .PGH, Preimplantation Genetic Haplotyping It works the same way as PGD, except that the genetic testing technique is more advanced. This technique should mainly be used by parents who are carriers of rare genetic disorders other than gender selection.

II.Post-implantation methods

Prenatal diagnosis - Amniocentesis and/or ultrasound is used to determine sex of a baby, leading to subsequent abortion of the unwanted sex.

III.Post-birth methods

1.Sex-selective infanticide - Killing children of the unwanted sex.

2.Sex-selective child abandonment - Abandoning children of the unwanted sex.

3.Sex-selective adoption-Placing children of the unwanted sex up for adoption
